Elma's Secure PMCDisk is designed to meet the needs of defense applications; it supports up to ten defense agency secure erasure procedures via front panel push button actuation, and write protection via front panel toggle switch. The storage module supports SMART (Self monitoring analysis and reporting technology). There is a front panel LED for host access and secure erasure indication. The ACT/Technico™ brand Secure PMCDisk is designed to operate in commercial and extended temperature operation, from -40°C to +85°C. The storage module provides high capacity secure data storage in PMC form factor for systems operating in harsh environments. Fast erasure and write protection ensure security in applications where data safety is critical. Available with solid state flash SATA drives, the Secure PMCDisk uses the latest in serial attached storage technology for increased data transfer speeds. It fits a wide variety of commercial and rugged embedded applications. Elma's Secure PMCDisk is a complete solution, with drive, interface and software driver provided. It can be used on any Single Board Computer or carrier with a standard IEEE 1386.1 PMC site. It replaces external hard drives or disk modules that require external fixtures or additional backplane slots. The embedded designer's requirement for secure mass storage is met by the Secure PMCDisk, eliminating cables and the need to use external storage or additional chassis slots for applications requiring moderate storage capacities.
