The military has specific needs.  BittWare has the solution.  The T2-6U-VME board (T2V6), which supports the VITA 41 VXS (VME switched serial) standard, is the very first COTS VME-based board featuring eight ADSP-TS201 TigerSHARC DSPs from Analog Devices, providing up to 28.8 GFLOPs in a single slot.  Designed and built for demanding real-time signal processing systems, the T2V6 is particularly effective in applications such as sonar, radar, imaging, and communications.  Available in both air-cooled and conduction-cooled versions, it's ready for Airborne, Ground, or Naval environments.  The T2V6 is the newest member of the T2 Family of boards from BittWare which includes PCI, cPCI, and PMC form-factors.  Building on BittWare's decade-long expertise in SHARC-based products, the T2 Family is supported by a complete line of development software and run-time tools.

  • Two clusters of four ADSP-TS201 DSPs @ up to 600 MHz
    • 3.6 GFLOPS of floating-point power per DSP (28.8 GFLOPS per board)
    • 14.4 BOPS of 16-bit processing per DSP (115 BOPS per board)
    • 24 Mbits of on-chip RAM per DSP
    • Static superscalar architecture
  • Two Xilinx Virtex-II Pro FPGAs (XC2VP20/30) for interfacing and coprocessing
    • ATLANTiS architecture featuring 8 GB/sec of external I/O throughput via Virtex-II Pro routing
    • 16 link ports @ up to 500 MB/sec each
    • 96 high-performance DIO (single-ended) or 48 LVDS
    • 12 utility DIO (6 per DSP cluster)
    • 16 channels RocketIO™ high-speed serial transceivers (3.125 Gbps)
  • One PMC site with PMC+ extension for BittWare’s PMC+ I/O modules
    • Rear panel I/O options
    • Front panel I/O (only on air-cooled versions)
  • Tundra Tsi148™ PCI-X-VME bridge with 2eSST support
  • 64-bit 66 MHz PCI interface via BittWare’s SharcFIN PCI-DSP bridge
  • Up to 512MB of on-board SDRAM
  • 16 MB of Flash memory for booting DSPs and FPGAs
  • Two link ports per DSP dedicated for interprocessor communications
